THE LABELS
ABOUT THE DESIGNS
Primus Inter Pares
This is a 100% Grenache. The name means "first among equals" and is usually relegated to describing people. In this case, the name describes the vineyard where the Grenache comes from.
THE MAESTRO
The Composer and The Lyricist wine labels are inspired by music, so they wanted to stay with this same theme for The Maestro. Some of their customers have asked if The Maestro was named in honor of Billo’s winemaking talents. While that is not the reason, Billo does not discourage the notion.
Dream Deferred
Wine label is inspired by a poem by Langston Hughes called “Harlem [2]”. The owner’s interpretation of the poem is: “what would have happened to me if I didn’t follow my dreams of starting a winery… It’s now become my favorite way of interpreting this poem.”
